Baghmara Campers was founded in 2021 by two visionary friends, Mark Pantora Sangma and Cheriyan Tangsengbirth Momin, to promote eco-friendly tourism in the breathtaking landscapes of South Garo Hills, Meghalaya. Their passion for sustainable travel and deep love for the region led to the creation of a unique agency that puts nature and community at the heart of every adventure.
The startup received a major boost when it was incubated by PRIME Meghalaya in 2023 and made waves by ranking in the Top 25 of the CM’s E-Championship Challenge. In 2024, their efforts were recognized nationally when Baghmara Campers was awarded the prestigious Best Eco-Tourism Startup Award.
Today, Baghmara Campers continues to inspire travelers to explore Meghalaya responsibly, offering unforgettable experiences that celebrate the natural and cultural wonders of the Garo Hills.
